Ability to go away for a long time
With their generous space, catamarans almost always offer generous storage capacity. Often, multihulls offer at least twice as much storage space.
Crews embarking on a round-the-world trip on board a catamaran can take much more with them than if they were sailing in monohulls. This makes them more self-sufficient: They can plan longer trips and are not obliged to return to port frequently for refuelling.
Water and fuel, food supplies, personal belongings, water sports equipment, extra sails, spare equipment... these are all the things that allow you to truly enjoy a trip on a catamaran with peace of mind and live life to the fullest!
Designed for sailors who desire excitement and freedom, the l’Excess 13 is a catamaran with a strong character that offers particularly well-designed spaces. Life on board is simplified thanks to a modern interior design, optimised interior space, very comfortable living areas and generous storage space. The balance between the performance of the boat and the emotions it allows you to experience on board is, of course, entirely preserved.
Everything is done to ensure that crews enjoy sailing, living on board and exploring the playground that lies ahead, allowing them to make the most of their experience!
Energy production on a catamaran
During round-the-world voyages, crews often have the opportunity to produce their own energy, allowing them to enjoy complete autonomy during their journey: They install solar panels, wind turbines or hydrogenerators, for example, to power the electrical equipment that allows them to live comfortably.
Unlike a monohull, the deck width of a multihull typically allows for the installation of a larger solar panel area, providing increased energy independence. This is an opportunity to enjoy a unique experience, a sailing trip off the beaten track, in complete freedom, in an eco-friendly and cost-effective way.
