Created in 1997 in Puerto Vallarta, the Pacific Puddle Jump has brought together a wonderful community of sailors for over 25 years. More than 4,000 boats have already participated in this legendary rally across the Pacific, from the coasts of the Americas to the turquoise lagoons of Polynesia.
Far from a traditional regatta, this rally is based on three strong values: friendliness, mutual assistance, and freedom. Everyone sails at their own pace, according to their desires, while benefiting from a structured framework.

In 2026, Excess becomes the exclusive partner of this adventure and offers all its owners registration for the rally. A rethought formula to support sailors before, during, and after their crossing. Excess owners will benefit from Premium service: personalized follow-up with webinars beforehand, technical check-ups, routing, hotline, photo shoot upon arrival, and more.
An immersion in Polynesia and sustainable support
The Pacific Experience by Excess doesn’t stop at arrival. The adventure continues on land with a sailing rendezvous in Tahiti and Moorea, local partnerships (hotels, clubs, sailing schools, etc.), and even post-crossing solutions (boat sale, return by cargo, extension to the West).
An environmental aspect is also included in the project: in collaboration with local communities, sailors participate in the collection and transportation of used batteries from isolated atolls to Tahiti for responsible treatment.
