Two days, a hundred visitors — and every expectation met. This latest edition delivered on all its promises, bringing the Excess tribe together right where it matters most: alongside the men and women who actually build the boats.
From hull construction through to the final finishing touches, our teams threw open the doors to their world. Visitors got to see, touch and understand every step of the process.
As the production tour unfolded, questions came thick and fast. Conversations with the teams were direct, genuine and often deeply technical — but always fascinating.
The full Excess range was on show throughout: the Excess 11, Excess 13 and Excess 14.
The tribe, more alive than ever
A Factory Tour is, above all else, a human story. Owners who had travelled from across the world, dealers, builders, long-time enthusiasts and future sailors in search of their next catamaran — everyone shared these two days in the same spirit.
The highlight of the edition: the Garmin Golden Ticket for an Australian family
Among the standout moments of the two days, one in particular moved both the teams and the attendees. An Australian family who had flown all the way from Melbourne discovered the Golden Ticket tucked inside their visit keepsake — and with it, a Garmin quatix 8 Pro watch, courtesy of our partner.
The timing couldn't have been more fitting: their Excess 14, named Free Will, will be their home for the whole of 2026. The plan? Departing from the west coast of France, six months in the Mediterranean, an Atlantic crossing with the ARC to Saint Lucia, the Pacific Puddle Jump to Tahiti, and then home to Australia.
